Callimico is a genus of New World Monkeys that is part of the Callitrichidae family; a family that contains Marmosets and Tamarin species. Formerly considered part of the Mico genus, the Callimico genus just recently obtained genus status. This genus only has one member, the Goeldi’s Marmoset, making it one of the most limited in the order of New World Monkeys.
